Rosemary Shindeldecker (69) -Natchez, MS-(Formally of Centerville, IN and West Alexandria, OH) passed away on August 3, 2023 after a short illness at Merit Health in Natchez MS.

She was born July 29, 1954 to Herman and Letha (Farmer) Morris (deceased) and graduated from Centerville High School in 1973. She had just attended her 50th High School reunion in June where she was so glad she was able to see many of her friends from school.

She leaves behind her sister, Kathi Vornauf, Nieces and nephews who loved her beyond words, her “adopted daughter” niece Teresa Siliven, aka Little Mary, Her best friend since 4th grade Janet Abner, her neighbor and dear friend Robin Burrell, and her friend Rhonda Burrell, her great-niece Britni Henemyre, who went extra lengths for us all to make sure she wasn’t alone, all of Pauls family, her fur child Riley, cousins, great nieces and nephews and many friends.

She is also preceded in death by her partner Paul Whitehead, her brothers Glen Morris, Lowell Dean Morris and her sister Carol Borden. Also her niece Gina Kime and nephews Gene “Pete”Plemons, Jr, Jason Roller and Matthew Plemons (great nephew she helped raise for awhile) and special pet companion Bentley.

Rosemary loved to paint, read, play cards, line dance, Tai Chi and being in nature. She was a member of the choir and Up with People when she was younger. She was a friend to almost any stranger and gave guidance to so many of us. She was wise beyond her years. Her laughter was contagious and made sure we knew memories were important to make. She will be greatly missed. Remember her not with tears but with smiles.

The family is planning on having a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 27 from 1-4pm at Knights of St. John, 455 So. 5th St., Richmond, IN  47374
