Rosemary Marie Holloway "Granny"

Rosemary Marie Holloway, affectionately known as "Granny" to all who were blessed to know her, passed away very peacefully on May 2, 2026, in Wiggins, Mississippi. Born on August 7, 1948, in Los Angelas California, Rosemary’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, dedication, and warmth that touched the hearts of many.

Granny's warm and embracing spirit was felt by everyone in the community, and she was truly Granny to everyone. She managed The Trading Post in Wiggins, a beloved local buy and sell shop, where she not only shared her business acumen but also her kindness and generous soul with customers and friends alike. Her personality radiated love and gentleness, making her a cherished figure to all who had the privilege of crossing her path.

Among Granny’s passions were her extensive collection of owls, which she adored, and her incredible talent for crocheting. With delicate hands and an artist’s heart, she crocheted countless pieces for family and friends, each stitch woven with affection and care. These gifts were more than just handiwork; they were tokens of her love and thoughtfulness, treasured by those who received them.

Her family was the center of Granny’s world, and her legacy lives on through them. She is survived by her beloved children: Monti Ann "Holloway" (Eddie "Dean" Jr.) Richey, Michael Alan Holloway, Jr., and Marshall Andrew (Melodye) Holloway, all of whom carry forward her spirit and teachings. Her grandchildren, Maryanne (Eddie) Davis, David Richey, Eddie (Amber) Richey III, William (Ross) Richey, Theron (Kelli) Holloway, Jessi (Adrian) Garner, Samantha Holloway, Sabrina Holloway, Shylina (Clay) Bell, Patricia (Jonathan) Llyod, Krystle (Rocco) Reed, and Rachel Rawlings, keep her memory alive in their hearts. The joy she brought to her great-grandchildren—Johnathan, Haileigh, Aurora "Rori," Raevan, Eddie IV, Zander, Gunner, Thaylynn, Maylah, Noah, Scarlett, Leo, Evan, Logan, Eli, Etham, Serenity, Colton, and Alekzander—is a testament to the enduring imprint of her love across generations.

Granny was also a beloved sister to Judith Ann (Mike) Uriz and Carolyn Lee (Jerry) Hellmers, and her family circle includes her son-in-law, Paul "Skipp" Webber, who stood by her side. She leaves behind a rich family history deeply rooted in love and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael Alan Holloway, Sr., her daughter Rhonda Beth Webber, her great-grandchild Alijah, her parents Whitey and Margie Suggett, and her brother Gerald Allen "Jerry" Suggett. Their memories and the bonds they shared remain an integral part of the story of Rosemary’s life.

A Burial service to celebrate and honor Rosemary Marie Holloway’s life will be held on May 7, 2026. It will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Cemetery on Taylor Cemetery Rd in Wiggins, Mississippi. It will be a time for family, friends, and the community to come together to say goodbye to a woman who was so deeply loved and admired.

Rosemary "Granny" Holloway’s life was a gentle blessing that rippled through the lives of everyone she met. She was a steadfast source of comfort and joy, a nurturing presence, and an enduring symbol of love and kindness. Though she has left this earthly world, the warmth of her smile, the softness of her touch, and the strength of her love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
