Ronald Ruiz, 53 of Gulfport, passed away unexpectedly Saturday in Gulfport. Ronald was born October 4, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY., the oldest of two children to Phillip J. and Elizabeth (Darlene) Ruiz, III. He grew up between Slidell and New Orleans where he enjoyed fishing and odd jobs as a young man. After graduating from Redeemer High School in 1983, Ronald attended LSU for a year, where he joined the Army National Guard. He decided to make that his career, and retired from the ARNG in 2002. Ronald was a guy who loved doing different things. Among his odd jobs and adventures, he has worked in grocery stores, delivered pizza, and in information technology, obtained degrees in culinary arts and restaurant management, worked in the casinos, and much more, in addition to being a genuine jack of all trades. He is remembered as "the greatest guy" by his mother Elizabeth, and his life partner, Elois. He took care of their needs, no matter what they were. A loving father and provider for his family, Ronald was definitely a giving person who will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all who's life he touched. He is survived by his soulmate, Elois Necaise; his children, Christopher Ruiz, Elizabeth Ann Ruiz, Jason Ruiz, Tracy Necaise, Noelle Necaise, and Raven Necaise; his mother, Elizabeth (Darlene) Ruiz, and his brother, Gerald Stephen Ruiz, along with numerous neighbors and friends. The family will recieve friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 13th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Trinity's main location in McHenry. Interment will follow at 12:30 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
