Robert Lee Kellar, age 75, passed away on November 1, 2024. He was Born on July 31, 1949 in Santa Rosa, MS to the late William “Coon” Kellar and Dora Lee Kellar.
Robert Kellar, a quiet and kind-hearted man with a deep love for nature, lived his life in harmony with the world around him. Known for his patience and laid-back nature, Robert found peace in the simplicity of country life, embodying the values and traditions of an old-school country lifestyle.
A true outdoorsman, Robert was happiest immersed in nature, whether at the beloved Honey Island Swamp, where he loved to hunt and fish, or walking through the woods he knew so well. His appreciation for the outdoors extended to treasured walks with his grandchildren, sharing his reverence for the natural world and its simple wonders.
Robert had a friendly spirit, greeting everyone as though they were a friend. He enjoyed quiet mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee, watching the day unfold, tending to his garden, and caring for his livestock. An avid hunter, gardener, and family man, he found fulfillment in working the land and spending time with those he loved.
He will be remembered as a beloved husband, devoted father, an adored grandfather, and a true friend to all who knew him. His gentle strength, wisdom, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures leave an enduring legacy. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing his kind spirit and love for the land.
Robert is preceded by his parents, William “Coon” Henry Kellar and Dora Lee Kellar; grandmother, Laura Bond; and his sister, Bridgette Dillard. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 56 years, June Kellar; children, Trent (Stacy) Kellar, Robin Cheree (William “Billy”) Moore, and Timothy Wade Kellar. Also left to cherish his memories are, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
