Mr. Robert Emile "Bob" Boos, 65 of the Magnolia community, passed away last night in Wiggins. Bob was born February 1, 1951, to Alvin & Beverly Boos in New Orleans, LA. After graduating high school, he earned his bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University. He married the love of his life, Rose Ann Serpas, and raised 2 wonderful daughters together. In his younger days, he enjoyed sailing, and is a past Commodore of the Tammany Yacht Club. After a successful career in the medical field as a dental technician, Bob & Anna were looking "weekend retreat", and found what would become their home here in Stone county, affectionately named "The Bob Farm". There, Bob has horses and cattle, and had begun an annual "corn fest", where friends and neighbors were invited to come and enjoy all things corn, revolving around a small corn patch Bob would plant. The excess would be donated to local food banks each year. Bob will be remembered as a person who truly enjoyed life to the fullest! He was the "class clown" and the life of the party. He was a person who brightened the room when he came in. A very giving person, Bob loved to cook, and to entertain friends and guests with food and laughter. Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. He will be very sadly missed. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Anna Boos; his 2 daughters, Laurie Elizabeth Boos of Washington, DC, and Joanne Myers (David) of Slidell; his grandchildren, Andrew and Melanie Myers of Slidell, his parents, Alvin and Beverly Boos of Slidell, 5 siblings, sisters Sylvia Riera (Gary) of Slidell, Carole Boos of Thibodaux, and Elaine Boos (George Hero) of New Orleans, and brothers Edward Boos of New Orleans and James Henry Boos (Jana) of St. Barts, BWI. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otto & Lydia Boos, and Henry & Rose McCoy. Bob's wishes were to be cremated, and for his family and friend's to celebrate with a party! The family is honoring his wishes, and invites those who knew Bob to come celebrate his life with them on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM, at "The Bob Farm", 177 Smithtown Road, Lumberton, MS 39455. This is in the Magnolia community, just down from the Magnolia Fire Station. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Daily Bread Food Pantry in Wiggins, or the charity of your choice, in his honor. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to have assisted the Boos family in their time of need.
