Robert James Bond, 92 of Saucier and better known to most as just "Bob" or "Pawpaw Bob", joined our heavenly father on December 5, 2022. He was born and raised on Mutton Ridge in Saucier. From the time of his birth on March 16, 1930, till his last days, Mutton Ridge is where he called home. He attended and graduated from the old Saucier school, and spent one tour of duty with the US Army, serving in Germany for the majority of his service time. Following his discharge, Bob promptly returned home to Mutton Ridge. he worked hard all his life to provide for his family and children, spending many years in the construction field. Bob was a faithful Christian man with an unwavering faith. I'm not sure he ever spoke a foul word not allowed by the bible. He was a great father to his 3 boys, grandfather to his grandson and his 3 great granddaughters, all of whom loved him dearly. Pawpaw Bob will be deeply missed, but is surely sitting in heaven with a bright crown today. He was preceded by his parents, Lucious & Viola Bond; his sister Ruby Redman, and brother Cooney Bond; his middle son David Wayne Bond Sr., & his youngest son Darryl Howard Bond. Left to cherish his memories are: Sarah Fairley the mother of his three sons; his oldest son Brent James Bond; his grandson David Wayne Bond Jr., with great granddaughters: Chloee, Callyn, & Cassidee Bond, and his granddaughter-in-law, April Bond. A graveside service with military honors is set for Thursday morning, Dec. 8th at 11:00 AM, in the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, where Bob faithfully attended and served for many years. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bond family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through the coming days.
