Robert Charles Evans, Sr, passed away on May 5th, 2025, in Gulfport, MS. He was born on March 28, 1951, in Neeham, MA, to the late Charles and Norma Evans. With 23 years of honorable service, Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. His dedication to his country was mirrored by his commitment to his interests and hobbies. An avid motorcycle and car enthusiast, Bob possessed an extraordinary talent for working on vehicles, often rebuilding them from scratch and painting intricate designs. He was also an accomplished tattoo artist, leaving art inked on the canvas of his own skin as well as on others. But his passions didn’t stop there, he worked at the animal shelters, making sure to show compassion to every animal that came through those doors. There is no doubt that upon his passing he met all his fur babies at the rainbow bridge with a joyous reunion. Though he was a man of few words, he would let out his sharp wit when necessary. Bob was a jokester, maybe even the man who invented the very first “Dad joke”. His grandbabies knew him as “Poppy”, a name that matched is playful spirit and will be remembered for years to come. But no love was greater than the 41 years he spent with his beloved wife, Barbara. Though the story of their meeting remains between the two, everyone knew they belonged together. Not only did they grow a large beautiful family, but they shared many motorcycle rides and laughs together. Every joke and smile will be remembered and missed dearly. Bob is preceded by his parents, Charles and Norma Evans; his son, Robert Charles Evans, Jr.; brother, Paul Evans; and his favorite aunt and uncle, Margaret and Walter Wickwire. He leaves behind his wife, Barbara Evans; children, Sandie(Jeff), Michelle Evans Smith, Thomas Tetreault, Crystal (Andrea) Facchinetti, Angela (Michael) Yondolino; sister, Laurel (John) Neergaard; grandchildren, Scott (Kaitlyn), Tyler (Brook), Logan (Mary), Donovan, Alexandra, Nina (Scooter), Jennifer, Aidan, Kyra (Brandon), Chloe, Meghan, Joseph, Rowan; great grandchildren, Lennon, Bella, Raelynn, Charter, Jamison, Axel, and Aria.
