Ricky Allen Waller, 38 of Perkinston, passed away early Saturday morning, August 28, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Stone County. He was the oldest of two children, born Dec. 28, 1982 in Gulfport to Ricky Carr and Carylin Annette Waller. Growing up in Saucier, Ricky was an energetic young man who liked to play outside. He was what you might call "wide open" from the start and seemed to enjoy tearing things apart, as well as building stuff. Ricky enjoyed hunting, but really liked to ride atvs and go mud riding, gocarts and motorcycles. He got a job at 16 working at Quincy's in Gulfport and soon added another at Casino Magic. He held down both jobs, in addition to working on everyone's cars, trucks, mowers and more. If it had a motor, Ricky could fix it. Even that wasn't enough to keep him settled though and he graduated to the construction field. Ricky did whatever needed to be done and became quite the brick mason over the years, plus a really good diesel mechanic to boot. There really wasn't much he couldn't do...except clean up after himself. Somehow that escaped him, but he worked hard every day to take care of his family. He is remembered as a loving, caring man that would help anyone with anything...but he always put family first on his list of priorities. Ricky was a wonderful son and a true "momma's boy". His sister recalls him as a pain in the butt, but a loving brother who was always there for her. Growing up with him made her tough and really prepared her for whatever life would send her way. As a husband, Ricky was Shana's rock, doing his best day after day to spoil her, taking care of her and their kids every day. His mother-in-law, well that was a different story all together. Theirs was a love-hate type relationship, but one that they both enjoyed. Ricky was so much to so many, which makes his passing even more difficult. He will be sorely missed and forever loved by all whose life he touched, even his mother-in-law. He was preceded by his father, Ricky Carr. Left to cherish his memories are: his devoted wife, Shana; his children, sons Ashton Moran of Long Beach and Riley Waller of Perkinston, with a daughter Ella Waller, also of Perkinston; his mother Carylin Waller and sister Laura Northrop (Josh Peterman), all of Gulfport. Ricky also leaves several nieces, nephews and extended family, with countless people whom he has helped in some way over the years. Services are set for Saturday, Sept. 4th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a chapel service at 1:00 PM. Afterward, Ricky will be laid to rest in the Three Rivers Free Church of God Cemetery in Gulfport. Please keep Shana and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
