Ricky Joel Bond, known affectionately as Joel to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on July 16, 1966, in Wiggins, Mississippi to the late Clinton and Lena Bond. Joel was a man whose laughter was contagious and had a sense of humor like no other. He certainly loved his fishing, no matter where or when. His open heart and friendly demeanor meant he never met a stranger, and his simple nature made him a beloved person by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. Above all, Joel was a romantic soul, deeply devoted to his "monkey," his term of endearment for his Wife. His life was a continuous stream of tender gestures, from leaving unexpected love notes to surprising her with bouquets of flowers. Joel's role as a father and grandfather was where he shone brightest. His unwavering strength and resilience in the face of life's challenges were a beacon for his family, guiding them with love and wisdom. He was a pillar of strength, always overcoming obstacles with a grace that inspired those around him. Joel is preceded by his parents, Clinton and Lena Mae Bond. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 32 years, Karlie Bond; two daughters, Alex Bond and Brittany (Ward) Cuevas; three grandchildren, Braden Stanley, Braylen Bond, Skyler Bond; two sisters, Paula (Wayne) Tarver and Melissa Bond; one brother, Steven Bond.
