Rickey Dale Rose

Rickey Dale Rose, 58 of Saucier, passed away Thursday afternoon in rural Stone County. He was born August 26, 1961 in Water Valley, the oldest of seven children. Rickey grew up in Texas for the most part, enjoying all things aquatic as a young man. He loved to be in a boat, just riding or fishing, plus he enjoyed swimming and was on his high school swim team. His dad was a crop duster and owned Rose Flying Service. Rickey worked with him a lot over the years, although he never learned to fly himself. He preferred to drive, which he learned how to do at a very early age. He wasn't afraid of work and was very talented to boot. Rickey could do most anything, spending many years in construction. For a hobby, he enjoyed landscaping, but his true passion was talking and boy could he do that! Rickey was full of life and remembered as a good son by his mother, except when they disagreed. He was a compassionate, loving husband that worked hard and provided for his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Rickey was preceded by his dad, Don Rose. He is survived by: his wife, Dorothy; children: Vickey and Tenia Rose, both of Gladewater, TX, Rebecca (Aaron) Grob of Kiln and Ashley (Daniel) McCurrie of Daytona, FL; his loving mother Helen Rose of Water Valley; siblings Debra Crawford and Donald Rose, both of AR, Kevin Crawford of Gulfport, Rebecca Crawford and Crystal Rose, both of TX and LaDonna (Todd) Vandegrift of New Orleans. Rickey leaves a legacy of fourteen grandchildren, with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring.
