Rickey Lavern Fant

Heaven’s gates opened for Rickey Lavern Fant on July 6, 2020 at Pillars of Biloxi. He was born to Wilburn and Katie (Newsome) Fant on April 9, 1956 in Meridian, MS. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale Fant. Rickey leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Thomas and Brian Fant; siblings, Cynthia (Jim) Quallen, Brenda Wyble, Chris (Cathy) Fant and James “Bubba” (Jann) Thompson along with grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from all walks of life. Rickey was an absolutely amazing man. He always had a story to tell and a smile to share. Rickey worked for Georgia Pacific and later at Hol-Mac. He will be remembered as a fun loving, hard worker that enjoyed joking around. He gave constant love to those closest to him and especially his mother. In lieu of flowers, do what Rickey would want you to do…. go fishing in his honor, get your oil changed or call an old friend. Rest in Peace, our friend, we know that you are in a better place and one day we will meet again.
