Richard Wilson Phillips Sr., age 54, passed away on February 21, 2025 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was born on May 06, 1970 in Louisville, Ky to the late James Phillips and Ruby Ware. Richard Wilson Phillips Sr, a man of boundless love and unwavering dedication to his family, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and hard work. He had a passion for working on vehicles and solving mechanical problems, always finding joy in fixing things. His hands were rarely still, whether under the hood of a car or adding value to the lives of those he loved. Above all, Richard cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He was outgoing, funny, and spoke his mind without hesitation, yet his kindness and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. Whether at the beach, in the garage, or surrounded by loved ones, Richard embraced life with an open heart and a generous spirit. His love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew him. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; James Patrick Phillips and Ruby Leann Ware; sister, Becky Clark; and nephew, Bobby Arnold. Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Tammie Lin Phillips; his children, Ricky Phillips Jr., Aaron (Katlyn) Phillips, and Chelsea Kinkle; his beloved grandchildren, Joseph Kinkle, Alexis Kinkle, Karsyn Phillips, and Hayden Phillips; his siblings, Tommy (Jamie) Phillips, Sam (Bill) Carr, Jimmy Phillips, Judy Feldkamp; and his nieces and nephews, Gary Clark, Timmy (Lee) Christian, Andrew Arnold, Shane Phillips, Dalton Barber and Krystal Clark, Chasity Irwin, and Brittany Barber and abundance of great nieces and nephews.
