Richard Glyndel Flynn, 65 of Wiggins, passed away November 6th at his home in Wiggins. He was born October 18, 1959 in Hartford, MD, the only child to Glyndel and Ada Gail (Butler) Flynn. Richard grew up in McHenry, a country boy through and through. Work was something he has done his entire life. His schoolastic adventure took him through the 10th grade, and Richard figured out that he would rather be working. So, he went to work at Brown & Root pickle factory in Wiggins where he stayed until the plant was moved and it closed. Richard was never without a job, working for a while in construction before landing a job at Hood Industries. He worked his way up to operator and stayed on the job for some forty years until he retired. Richard's primary hobby...was work, and he worked hard all his life. He enjoyed an occasional "cold one" when he wasn't working, along with the company of his family and what few folks he called friends. Richard kept to himself for the most part, and didn't bother anyone. He will be forever remembered as a loving father and trusted friend. Richard was preceded by his mother, Ada Gail (Butler) Hickman, and his father, Glyndel Flynn. Left to cherish his memories are his children: Richard (Susan) Flynn, Angela (Brian) Fuller, Daniel Flynn, and Chyenne Rouse, all of Wiggins. He leaves a legacy of five grandchildren: Dena, Jeremy, Jessica, Aaron, and Christopher, along with many friends and coworkers through the years. Richard's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Flynn family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
