Rhonda Elizabeth (Ray) Burrell, 54, of Fruitland Park, went home to be with the Lord, on July 5, 2026, finally reunited with her beloved husband, Richard Burrell.  Rhonda was born on April 18, 1972, in Gulfport, MS., to her mother, Danisa Ann Ray.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Burrell; her mother, Danisa Ann Ray; her grandparents, Dewey and Elizabeth Ray; and one Uncle, Danny Ray.

Rhonda leaves behind two daughters, Heaven Leigh Tandy-Ray and Sky Lynn Ray; four grandchildren, Lola Belle Tandy-Ray, Julian Claymore Shermer, Eleanore Rose Fountain, and Willow Analise Vashti Adams; along with four aunts, many cousins, and countless friends who loved her deeply.

Rhonda was not someone who lived life quietly from the sidelines; she threw herself into the world with a fierce, free spirit. To know her was to know her passions. She loved the thrill of the open road and the freedom of riding motorcycles-a testament to her adventurous heart and independent soul. But she also knew how to find deep peace. Her absolute favorite days were spent at the river, letting the water wash away the noise of the world, completely content, just soaking in the sunshine and the rhythm of nature. Beneath her adventurous exterior was a profoundly gentle soul, best seen in her immense love for animals. She had a heart big enough to care for the creatures who couldn't speak for themselves, and they always seemed to recognize her kindness in return. She taught those around her how to be brave, how to find stillness, and how to love unconditionally. She lived with her hair in the wind and her feet in the water, and that is exactly how she will be remembered.
