Renee Ivan Royals

Renee Ivan Royals, age 73, passed away on December 20, 2022 in Jackson Mississippi at St. Dominick Hospital. Renee was born on August 18, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York to Gladys Jackson. Renee was very caring, vibrant and outspoken. She was only 4’ ft 9” but she had the biggest personality in the room. Renee loved to laugh and enjoyed hearing jokes with her friends and had a great sense of humor. She was also a nurse’s assistant that had a passion for helping others in her community. Renee loved spending time with her family and gathering for the Holidays. Her larger-than-life presence will be forever missed by all those that her life has touched. Renee was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many that will be missed dearly.

Renee is preceded by her loving husband of 40 years, Charles Royals; daughters, Yolanda Pierre and Keelie Bennett Rushing; mother, Gladys Jackson and brother Timothy Jackson. Left to cherish her memories are her loving brother Dondi Jackson; daughter, Gyna Rushing; son, Xzavion Tutt; grandchildren, Chanelle Smith, Anthony Smith, Xavier Smith, Kevin Smith, Shalese Rushing, Kelsey (Antonio) Johnson, and Sidney (Pashence) Rushing, as well as her eight great grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memories are numerous nieces and nephews.
