Rebecca Dalene (Lightsey) Cronier, 62 of Gautier, passed away early Monday morning at Singing River Hospital after a lengthy illness. Rebecca was born October 10, 1956 in Laurel, the middle of three children to Sam & Robbie (Nowell) Taylor. She spent most of her childhood in the Laurel area, and went to school there as well, but made her home in the Martin Bluff area for many years. Rebecca was a friendly, outgoing and adventurous person with a great sense of humor. Rebecca ran her own restaurant for a while, and had worked at Martin Bluff Grocery for 18 years. She enjoyed travelling crocheting, and playing the penny slots, but she loved her family above all else. She was happiest just being at home with those she loved. A loving wife and companion for the past 18 years, she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded by her parents, Sam & Robbie Taylor; her daughter, Robyn Lightsey; and her sister, DOnna Nix. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband, Kevin Cronier; her children: Lucas Lightsey of Gautier, and Tracy & Nicholas Gale, both of Prattville, AL; one sister, Tammy (Joe) Holmes of Laurel; two grandchildren: Austin Bradley and Shayne Bosarge, along with untold numbers of customers, friends, and neighbors through the years. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A celebration of her life has been set for 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Martin Bluff Baptist Church, and everyone is invited to come remember Rebecca. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist Kevin and the family in their time of need, and asks that you keep them in your prayers over the coming days.
