It is with a heavy heart we let everyone know that on February 9, 2026, Ray parted from this life to his new eternal life to be with his loved ones who had gone on before him. Ray was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Ray married the love of his life Amanda (Lovie Amanda Barr Taylor) on February 14, 1984. Their marriage was built upon love, loyalty, and a deep bond that stood the test of time. In 1987 Ray became the proud father to his only child Danny Ray Taylor who showed Ray a new kind of love, and a constant source of pride and joy throughout his short life.

To Amanda; Ray was the one and only true love - her forever and always. The true meaning of the song that came out in 2010 by Sugarland "Stuck Like Glue" as Ray would always sing it to Amanda. To those around them their marriage and life together, it was a true love story that just got sweeter with time.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Shelton Taylor and Dorothy (Lunsford) Taylor who raised Ray with the values of family, strength, and hard work that he carried throughout his life. Ray is also preceded by his only Child Danny Ray, and his sister Linda Grigg who shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love with him. Ray will be remembered for his kind loving heart, his strength, his dedication to his family, and the love and laughter he gave so freely.

He leaves behind to cherish his life his loving wife Amanda; a brother-in law Wilbur Barr; his dear friends Rocky and Tamra, as well as their children Allan, Chris, Thomas, Evelyn, and Elizabeth and their children who all called him Uncle Ray.

And last but not least his four-legged Sofie. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Forever loved, forever missed, RNA Forever. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Taylor family in their time of need and we ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
