Raelan Nevada Lawhon

October 23, 2000 — January 24, 2022

Gulfport, MS

Raelan Nevada Lawhon, a blessing to Patrick and Sabrina Lawhon, entered this world on October 23, 2000 in Gulfport, MS. She was ushered home on January 25, 2022 at the age of 21. If you enjoyed the blessing of knowing Raelan, you'd have experienced her contagious love of dancing and singing.  Maybe you watched her sing in the choir or act in theatre. You'd certainly have been familiar with her unique wit, stepped in sarcasm, packaged in a beautiful young woman with a sparkle in her eyes and kindness in her heart. She loved choir and theatre and her times at Stone High School and MGCCC with all of her sound friends. Maybe you are one of her girls, one of her coworkers, turned dearest friends.  She had many. She was employed at Purfumania and she considered her co-workers there family. She also worked at one of her favorite stores, Victoria Secret. All of those who knew Raelan were touched by her contagious smile.  Raelan was a gift to those who knew and loved her. Raelan loved spending summers at the beach, putting down baskets of chips and salsa and spilling the latest tea.  She could watch Shrek at least 100 times and still laugh through it.  She loved to fish, spend time with her family and friends, and she loved those dang cats!  Raelan had dreams.  Dreams of traveling. Dreams of returned trips to Arizona and New York.  She had dreams that she was just beginning to realize and planned to start cosmetology this year.  She thought deeply, felt deeply, loved deeply, and she will be deeply treasured and missed by all she has left behind.  Raean is survived by her parents Patrick and Sabrina Lawhon of McHenry, her brother Casey Lawhon of Gulfport, her sister Jacqueline Anderson and her brother-n-law Bailey Anderson, all of McHenry; her neice Baylor Grace Lawhon of Gulfport; her nephews, Kent & Clark Anderson of McHenry, her aunt E (Emma Lawhon) of Wiggins, her Grandmomma (Jan Lawhon), and her Nanny and Pawpaw (Mark and Bertha Warden) of McHenry, her Aunt Katie and Uncle Ray Warden of Saucier and her cousins Maxton and Miles who she both adored.  She leaves behind her childhood best friend and roommate, Haley Riley, and so many more close friends and family than we can name here. Last but not least, she leaves behind her beloved cats, Violet and Aurora.  A celebration of her life will be held at Crosspoint Church, 15046 N Swan Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503 on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022.  Visitation begins at 11am, followed by the service at 12pm, with Pastor Israel Cox officiating. Interment will follow the service at Saucier Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Raelan's honor to the Stone County Animal Shelter, the Stone High School Choir, or to the Home of Grace. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Lawhon family in their time of need.  Please keep Patrick, Sabrina, Casey, Jacqueline, and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
