Qontray James Harris

October 1, 1991 — May 6, 2020

Wiggins, MS

On October 1, 1991 in Gulfport, MS a handsome baby boy named, Qontray “Tray” James Harris, was born to Jennifer Harris and Terry McCray.  “Tray” joined the Wiggins Church of God in Christ at an early age.  He was a member of the Boys group where he volunteered doing different things in the church and throughout the community.  He attended Stone High School and played football which he was very good at.  “Tray’s” (#72) most memorable high school game was against McComb, which led to him being named Player of the Week.  In this game he had 7 tackles and 3 fumble recoveries. The Coach stated, “He did a great job at his nose guard position stopping the run on very poor field conditions.”  After the football season, “Tray” was selected to be a part of the 2009-2010 MHSAA All-Star football team.  He graduated from Stone High School in 2010.  “Tray” was a very funny and loving young man.  He loved his family and he especially loved hanging out with his boys (Cousins) and friends.  Everyone that knew him, loved him.  On May 6, 2020, “Tray” entered a calm rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father.  “Tray” leaves to cherish his funny, loving memories to his mother Jennifer Harris; his father Terry McCray; his grandmother Margaret Bolden; his grandfather Mac Willie Bolden; three sisters: Juqira (Keith) McGee, Tedra Atkinson, and Margaret Harris; three brothers: Jordan Ramey, Terry (TJ) McCray, Jr. and Brenton Huff; a niece London Harris; a special friend, Katelyn Bodie (her daughter, Amiyah Holmes); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   Funeral services have been set for Thursday, May 14th at Wiggins Church of God in Christ. Visitation will begin at 9 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11. Following the services, Tray will be laid to rest at Welcome Hill Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Harris family in this most difficult time. Please keep Terry, Jennifer and all the family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days.
