Penny Hackney (Caruso) Schneider

Penny Caruso (Hackney) Schneider, 68, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 in Gulfport. She was born March 19, 1954, in New Orleans, LA to Philippine and Frank Caruso. Growing up in New Orleans, Penny loved to hang out at the camp with her family, go fishing & crabbing with her dad, & getting into every concert, of her time, that she could. Penny was known for loving to have a good time, rocking out to her favorite bands, & never being a stranger to anyone she met.  Penny was a long-time resident of the Barth Community in Poplarville, MS until 3 years ago when she moved to Waveland where she enjoyed much time allowing her grandsons to get to know her. She was always quick with a goofy comeback or joke and loved to hand out treats to all the kids.  She is preceded in death by both of her parents, sister, Cheryl Hardy, & great-aunt, Mary Geraci.  Left to cherish her memories are her newly-wed husband, Stacey Schneider; her children, son, Gerald (Erin) LeBreton, daughter, Jessica (Tony) Elam, sister, Phyllis (Elliot) Schehr, grand-daughters, Alyssa, Karol, Skylar, & Taylor LeBreton, grandsons, Caleb LeBreton, Tristan & Jacob Elam, Godsons, Stephen (Kim) & David (Suzanne) Schehr, nephews, Johnny (Heather) Barrere, Michael & Brian Schehr, and her dog, Hershey Bar.  Penny also leaves behind a long line of great-nieces, & great-nephews along with many extended family & friends through her many years.  Obituary written by Penny’s Daughter, Jessica.
