Ms. Peggy Joan Craine

September 12, 1937 — December 12, 2018

Ms. Peggy Joan (Wright) Craine, 81 of Long Beach, passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday morning at her home. She was born September 12, 1937 in Michigan, the daughter of Claude & Earnestine (Barnes) Wright. Peggy was loving mother and grandmother, who was feisty to say the least! She grew up during the late 1930's and 40s, a time when things were not so plentiful, and from that, she didn't really like to share! In fact, she was quite stingy with her smokes, coffee, and chair, and was not afraid to let you know it. She was a great story teller, and was one to always tell it like it is. Peggy loved her family, and was a very proud "GiGi". She is remembered as "one of a kind", like a unicorn. She always enjoyed company, and often said "if you don't see me while I'm here, there's no need to come when I'm gone." She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Peggy was preceded by: her parents Claude & Earnistine Wright; her husband, William L. Craine; four children: Bill, Terry, and Gloria Craine, and Judy Barnes; and a granddaughter, Kendra. Left to cherish her memories are: eight children, Betty Beasley, Treasa Peppers, Debora Hass, Patty Craine, Jeff Altman, Ronnie (Jennifer) Altman, Monica (Chris) Tedahams, Jeremy (April) Altman, and Timothy Craine; brothers Gordy and Dan Wright, and sisters Vonnie Evans and Brenda Derr. She leaves eighteen grandchildren: Brooke, Freddy, Josh, Chelsea, Rachel, Zandy, Jaden, Heather, James, Michael, Caleb, Dalton, Amber, Carlotta, Jamie, Tony, Laura, and Cheyenne, along with a wagon-load of great-grands, a slew of nieces and nephews, and no telling how many friends. Her desire was to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A Celebration of Life has been set for Saturday, Dec. 15th, at Monica's house, located at 108 Charleswood Lane in Long Beach, beginning at noon. Everyone is welcome to come. Peggy will be interred at Biloxi National Cemetery with her late husband, at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Craine family, and asks that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
