Peggy Sue Camp

December 14, 1962 — August 29, 2025

Peggy Sue Camp, a cherished soul and a guiding light to many, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 62. Born on December 14, 1962, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, Peggy embraced life with a warm heart and an unyielding spirit. She is remembered not only for her dedication to her career in the healthcare industry but also for the profound impact she made on the lives of those around her. Peggy spent much of her professional life devoted to caring for others, beginning her career as a nursing assistant where she tenderly cared for the elderly. Through her various roles, including as a certified patient care technician and a resident assistant at Baycove Assisted Living Facility, Peggy found fulfillment in assisting seniors, embodying compassion and kindness in all they did. Her commitment to service extended to her work as an environmental service aide at Memorial Stone County Hospital, where she applied her keen attention to detail and unwavering punctuality. Peggy also ran her own housekeeping service, known for her meticulous nature; once she cleaned a home, clients never sought anyone else. Her reliability, honesty, and thoroughness earned her the respect of many, leaving behind a legacy of excellence in her service. Beyond her professional achievements, Peggy's personality shone brightly. She had a profound love for country music, often filling the air in Wiggins with the upbeat tunes she adored. Her passion for life was evident as she danced, celebrated friendship, and created cherished memories around bonfires, camping, and traveling—whether to the majestic mountains or serene beaches. Peggy's love for nature was also reflected in her delight in gardening and her fondness for hummingbirds. Peggy had a unique talent for collecting tiger blankets, believing that one could never have too many. This quirk illustrated her vibrant character, loved by family and friends. Her close bond with her sisters was a significant part of her life, forged through shared experiences and unconditional love, creating a special and joyful relationship. At her core, Peggy was a woman who trusted in God, held her faith close, and believed in the goodness of His will until the very end. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength. Peggy is preceded by her mother, Betty Evelyn Rose; brother, Greg Boling; and three beautiful grandbabies, Harlan, Milia, And Magnolia. She now gets to spend eternity enjoying the laughs and love with all three in heaven. Left to cherish her memories and smile are her daughter, Jennifer (Bobby) Miller; ex-husband and special friend, Clyde "Eddie" Camp; sisters, Patti Ann (Matthew) Cospelich, Pamela (Henry) Taylor, Paula (Dennis) McCullough; grandsons, Wyatt and Liam; nieces, April Burris, Tina Thomas, Candie Cospelich; great nieces and nephews, Matthew Strahan, Alicia Swanier, Aaron Swanier, Brasen and Brooklyn Burris. A very special thank you to her sisters, and nieces for their love and care during her battle with cancer, they fought alongside such a strong woman.
