Mr. Paul Leon Madison

Paul Leon Madison, 81 of McHenry, passed away at his home late Thursday evening. Paul was born August 17, 1936 in Walker county Alabama, the 4th of 14 children to Dave & Lola Belle Madison. He grew up in the small town of Townley, where he came to love hinting and fishing. Paul went to work at a young age, landing his first job pulling slabs at a sawmill when he was just 10 years old, and has worked since. He has held a few different jobs in his life, but eventually made his way to South MS in the 1950s searching for work, and made a career as a logger. Paul's passions in life when he wasn't working were deer hunting, where he enjoyed running dogs, Atlanta Braves baseball, and Alabama football. He is remembered as a loving and jovial brother, a hard working and loving father and husband who provided for and took care of his family. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. He was preceded by his parents, Dave & Lola Belle, sisters Willette Alich, Helen Winette, Brenda Cox, and Francis Blakeney, and brothers Donald D., Gary, Ronald, and James Ray Madison. Paul is survived by his children, Daniel (Minnie) Madison, Donna Jo (Dennis) Anderson, Delinda Hanson, Wayne Madison, Eric (Pat) Madison, Sonijh (Sam) Anderson, Ashley, and Preston Madison; his sisters, Janie Lucas, Wanda (Buddy) Lowe, and Sharon (Duck) Fore; brothers Rayborn (Billie Jean) Madison and Bruce (Linda) Madison; along with 33 grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation has been set for 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2nd at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, with a chapel service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at McHenry Gardens Cemetery.
