Patricia Ann "Patsy" (Warden) Meadows

Patricia Ann Meadows, 74 of McHenry, passed away on February 11, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. She was born November 20th, 1949 in Bay Springs. Patsy, as she was widely known, grew up and spent her life in McHenry. She enjoyed playing with her brothers and sisters growing up, and they were always into something. Patsy attended Stone County schools, graduating from Stone High in the late 60s and moving on to MGCCC at Perk where she earned her Associates degree. She always called McHenry home, and raised her two boys there. Patsy was a Christian by faith and attended First Baptist Church of McHenry through the years. She is lovingly remembered a wonderful sister and mother. Patsy loved to work in her yard and playing her games on her phone. Cooking and reading were just a couple of the things she enjoyed in her spare time. She did her absolute with what she had, always making the most of it. A resourceful, loving friend and neighbor, she will be forever missed by all those who knew and loved her. Patsy was preceded by her parents, Harold and Irene (Rayner) Warden; her siblings, brothers Kenneth, David, Billy Ray, and Leon Warden, with sisters Ruth Jordan and Diane Steele. Left to cherish her memories are: her two sons, Tony (Carrie) Meadows of Evanston, WY, and Gary Meadows of McHenry; her sister Evelyn (Rod) Patton, also of McHenry. She leaves a legacy of five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family, friends and neighbors through the years. A graveside service is set for Friday afternoon, February 16th at 3:00 PM, in the McHenry Gardens Cemetery. Those who knew and loved Patsy are encouraged to attend.
