Ms. Patricia Ann Coleman

Ms. Patricia Ann Coleman, 77 of Diamondhead and better known as "Patty" by those closest to her, passed away Saturday evening in Slidell. She was born December 29, 1941 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of J.D. and Hesba (Addington) Barnes. She grew up in Kingsport, TN., and at 19, married Bobby Kendrick in 1961. They were divorced a few years later, and in 1967, Patty married her high school sweetheart, Mike Coleman. They spent the next 44 years of their lives together, making their home in several places over the years, eventually retiring to Diamondhead. Patty is remembered as a loving wife and mother, and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her parents, J.D. & Hesba Barnes, and her loving husband, Mike Coleman, and her brother, Robert L. "Bobby" Gray. Left to cherish her memories are her children: daughters Leigh Anne (Marty) Broadus of McHenry, and Melissa (Bill) Carrigee of Diamondhead, and sons Robert (Cindy) Kendrick of Pooler, GA, and John (Darla) Kendrick of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren: Nicholas Cospelich, Mike & Rochelle Broadus, Alex, Kaleigh, and Zane Kendrick, Logan Jones, and Ben Carrigee; three great-grandchildren: Mackenzie & Trindon Cospelich, and Anabelle Kelehan, along with several extended family and friends. Her wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at Saucier United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to your local or favorite Humane Society, or a pet rescue organization.
