With a gentle heart and a spirit as free as the horses she adored, Patrice Annette Cataldo galloped into the everlasting fields of peace on September 28, 2024, at the age of 73. Born in Newark, Ohio, on November 14, 1950, Patrice's journey through life took her to a final sunset in Picayune, Mississippi, surrounded by the natural beauty she cherished. Patrice spent countless joyous years at the fairgrounds, imbuing racehorses with the same grace and strength she carried throughout her life. She was a beacon of love and comfort, dedicating herself to her family as a devoted homemaker. Her passion for life was mirrored in her love for animals, her affection for plants and gardening, and her competitive spirit playing darts in the local league. Although she rides ahead of us now, Patrice's memory is cherished by her loving sister Holley Morris, her daughter Crystal Callais, her grandchildren Sebastian Callais, Hayden Jochum, and Shelby Cataldo, and the indelible marks she left on the lives of her late parents, Mary Schebier and Earl K Humes, her son Michael Cataldo, and her siblings Michael Humes and Susan Spence. Patrice Annette Cataldo's vivacious soul will forever be woven into the stories of the racetrack and the blossoms of every garden she nurtured.
