Ms. Pamela Diane Hester

Pamela Diane Clark Hester, 63 of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday morning at Memorial Hospital. Pam was born August 8th, 1954 in California, the oldest child of Henry & Bessie Clark. She grew up in the Gulfport area, and came to love drive-in movies and cooking. She married Jimmy Ray Hester at 16, and the family lived in Gulfport. Pam was an outgoing, caring lady that enjoyed helping others. She has worked in a few places over the years, most recently at Labor Finders where she assisted others in finding a job. She is remembered as a loving, caring mother and grandmother, the defender and protector of them all. They affectionately refer to her as "Mama Bear". To her siblings, she was their "loving sissy". Pam will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded by her parents, Henry Clark & Bessie Stewart; her grandmother, Dorothy Harsson; aunts Judy and Orlice; and brother-in-law, Mike Hester. Left to cherish her memories are the "cubs", her children: Jimmy R. hester, Jr. (Amberlyn Douglas) of Perk, Dorothy (Felix) Viera of Vancleave, Greg (Amie) Hester of Saucier, Mark Hester (Kayla Atkinson) of Gulfport, and Tina Trujillo of Biloxi; her brother, "Billy Boy" Clark, and her sister, Vicki Havens-Pauley (Tom Murray); her former husband, Jimmy Hester, Sr.; twenty-five grand and great-grandchildren, some nieces, nephews, and extended family, and uncountable friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, July 28th beginning at 11:00 AM at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. After a chapel service at 2, she will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. Please keep the entire family lifted up in your thoughts and prayers over this difficult time.
