Norweida (Robbins) Chapman

Norweida Robbins Chapman, 84, of Laurel, departed this life on March 2, 2023. Born on November 26, 1938, in Louisville, MS. She was the seventh child to the late Henry Clay Robbins, Sr., and Odessa Hoskins Robbins. She graduated from Noxapater High school class of 1958. Norweida then later moved to Laurel, where she met and married James W. Chapman. They enjoyed 57 wonderful years together. Taking care of her family was always her primary priority. She dedicated her life to serving the true God and was baptized in 1986. Norweida was kind and generous and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Marilyn (Garron) Robbins Thomas of Hattiesburg, Janice Chapman Barnes of Lancaster, PA, Cynthia (James) Chapman Warren of Bastrop TX, and Carolyn Chapman of Laurel, MS; four sisters, Florine (James) Robbins Stewart,  Gwendolyn (Howard) Robbins Pratt, LaFranes Robbins Brantley, and Sandra (Thomas) Faye Robbins Billups; two brothers, Henry Preston Robbins, and Truman Robbins; one sister-in-law, Ruth Triplett Robbins; a brother-in-law, Earl Chapman; and ten grandsons, seven granddaughters, ten great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and spiritual friends. Preceded by parents, Henry and Odessa Robbins; husband, James Chapman, one son, one daughter, one grandson, three brothers, and four sisters. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness beginning at noon.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Chapman family during this time and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
