Nicholas Aaron Dickerson

Nicholas Aaron Dickerson, 30 of McHenry, passed away Dec. 5th, 2019. Nicholas was born April 29, 1989 in Birmingham, AL, the son of Pat and Susan Dickerson. He was a kind-hearted person that loved animals, and was the go-to person if you needed help with anything. Nicholas was one who genuinely tried to brighten your day and always has a smile to share. If you were feeling down, he would find a way to get you to laugh. He enjoyed working with his hands, making a career in several trades like welding, diesel mechanic, operating heavy equipment including tug boats, or construction. In his spare time, Nicholas enjoyed flying drones, riding his motorcycle and helping people. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Nicholas was preceded by: his father, Pat Dickerson, a step-father Gary Green; paternal grandparents Thomas & Wilma Johnson and Pat & Mary Ann Dickerson, maternal grandparents Oscar & Dorothy Sue Rushton, and an uncle, Robert J. Rushton. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving mother, Susan Green; his brother Jason Dickerson; his step-sister Ashley Rae Fox; aunts & uncles: Bruce & Peggy Leggett, Greg & Melissa Dickerson, Mitch Dickerson, and Jeff Johnson; cousins Kristen Gaines, Drew Leggett, Sydney and Kalli Dickerson, Tanner Johnson, and Joshua Dalton, along with numerous additional extended family and friends. Nicholas' final wishes was to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A memorial service may be held at a later date.
