Nadia Maria Carter, formerly of Biloxi, passed away at her home in McHenry on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Nadia was born in Centerville, MS and grew up acquiring the elegance and charm of a lady. She was friendly and outgoing, attended cosmetology school after graduating high school, and made a career as an accomplished hair stylist. She married Royal L. She spent over 40 years as a beautician, making many friends and acquaintances along the way. Nadia was a strong willed lady who was firm in her convictions. She loved life, and enjoyed painting landscapes. After moving to McHenry, her favorite pastime was to sit on the porch, and observe nature. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Nadia was preceded in death by her parents, William & Elizabeth Dykes; her late husband, Royal L. Carter; and a grandson, Lucien Bell. She is survived by her two daughters, Connie L. (James) Walker of McHenry, and Gail (Tim) Adam of Saucier; and by 2 grandchildren, Stephen (Karen) Trautman of England, and Donnie (Annie) Walker of Wiggins. Her wishes were to be cremated, and interred with her husband at Biloxi National Cemetery, which her family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Carter family, and asks that you please keep them in your prayers through this difficult time.
