Ms. Mona Andrea Knight

Ms. Mona Andrea Knight of Gulfport, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2018 at the young age of 57. Mona was born in Wiggins, MS to Lee and Barbara (McQueen) Overstreet, Jr. on December 10, 1960. Mona will be remembered for her caring, loving, and giving spirit. She kept everyone around her on their toes! She had a memory like an elephant, and was the one you wanted to stand by to remind you everyone's name. She had a great sense of humor and it showed in her choice of lullabies for her children, with Mercedes Benz by Janis Joplin being her "go to song". Mona will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memories are her children: Jessica Barlett, Benjamin (Chantel) McNeese, Kyle and John Knight; her grandchildren: Laurel, Vann, Grey, and Justin; two sisters: Phyllis (Billy) Shoemake and Tammy (Paul) Dorsett, along with many extended family and friends. Mona was preceded by her parents, Lee Jr. & Barbara Overstreet, and her brother, Jeff Overstreet. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, with a funeral service at 11:00, and interment following at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to be entrusted with the care of Ms. Mona and asks that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
