Mr. Mitchell Darnell Martin

Mr. Mitchell Darnell "Donnie" Martin of Wiggins passed away on Thursday, May 26th in Biloxi. Donnie was born in Wiggins to August and Pearl (Walls) Martin, and graduated from Locker High School in 1969. He moved to California for several years before returning to Wiggins. He is survived by his very caring sister-in-law, Ms. Voncile Martin of Wiggins; his 3 children, sons Efrim Z. "Fred" Holmes of Wiggins, and Philip Martin of Oakland, CA, and daughter, Tamika M. Crockrum of Hattiesburg; siblings Augustine Gilner of Los Angeles, CA, Earl Martin of San Francisco, CA, and Maggie Pearl McShan of Detroit, MI, along with 3 nephews, Ryan Martin, O'Shea Martin, and Sanchez Martin. He also has 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a number of others nieces and nephews. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, August and Pearl, and 5 siblings, Gene Martin, Jimmie Martin, Booker Martin, Ethel Martin, and David Martin. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 3rd, 2016, at New Welcome Baptist Church, where Donnie was a long time member. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00, with the funeral service to follow in the sanctuary. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Martin family.
