Michael Stephenson, aged 56, departed this life on August 16, 2024, in Laurel, Mississippi. Born on February 29, 1968, in LaGrange, Georgia, he was a man whose hands could deftly build a house and gently hold the hands of his beloved children. Michael dedicated his career to Carpentry, where he specialized in flooring, he took great pride in his work and thoroughly enjoyed it. His love for crafting and shaping was paralleled by his love for the outdoors, often found fishing in the quiet whispers of dawn. A passionate motorcyclist, he found freedom on the open road, a feeling he cherished almost as much as the cherished moments spent surrounded by his family. His memory will be honored as a tapestry of life lived fully, a legacy built with love and the imprint of his laughter in the hearts of those who loved him. Michael will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.He is preceded by his father Michael Lee Stephenson and his sister Kasey Lynn Stephenson. Left to cherish his memories are his mother Melinda Jane Mitchell; his sister Kristi Morton(Richard); his brother David Stephenson(Hnou); his step-dad Alton Mitchell; his children Brittany Threatt(Vernon), Joshua Sones, Jessica Munn(Tanner); his grandchildren Mariah Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Maverick Threatt, Abby Kate Munn; his nieces and nephews, Luca Stephenson, Nick Morton, Ethan Morton, Emily Harper, Kalyn Jones, Macy Stephenson, and William Mitchell. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Stephenson family in their time of need and we ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
