Michael Mitchell Munger

July 23, 1984 — July 23, 2025

Gulfport, MS

Michael Mitchell Munger, age 41, passed away on July 23, 2025. He was born on July 23, 1984 in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Michael Munger, a man with a heart as wide as the sky and a soul that brought comfort to everyone he met, has left this world too soon. He was a kind and caring presence—easygoing, full of life, and always true to himself.

Michael lived life on his own terms, with a laid-back spirit and a deep appreciation for the simple things. He cherished his family above all else and found his greatest happiness in being with them—whether it was tossing a football in the yard, playing basketball with his nieces and nephews, or just spending time talking and laughing together. He especially loved his son, and the memories they made will be treasured forever.

He found peace and joy in quiet moments too, especially out by the water with a fishing pole in hand. Nature gave him space to breathe, reflect, and be at ease. Michael also had a soft spot for his dog, Bella, who was more than a pet—she was his constant companion, a source of comfort and unconditional love.

Michael had a genuine love for people. He was easy to talk to, easy to be around, and had a way of making others feel comfortable just by being himself. His warmth, sense of humor, and big-hearted nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Michael was deeply loved by his family, and his memory will live on in every heart he touched. His life was uniquely his own—lived with love, laughter, and a spirit that can’t be forgotten.

Micheal is preceded by his grandparents, Dub and Wilma Munger and William and Barbara Brewton. Left to cherish his memories is his mother, Dianne Munger; son, Keeton Wiegel; father, Monte Munger; brothers, Damien Munger and Andrew (Brittany) Munger; sister, Teresa Schultz; uncle, Billy Brewton; aunt, Debra Brewton; nieces and nephews, Kayleigh Munger, Alyssa Easlic, Andrew “Drew” Munger Jr., and Kaleb Munger.
