Melvin Leif Rayburn

Leif Rayburn 49 of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 in Natchez, Mississippi. He attended New Iberia Senior High School and went to LSU where he studied the safety protocol profession. In that time, he met and married Rikki and had two sons. He continued his safety studies, where he worked for various Petro Chemical Industries.

Many would define Leif as full of life. Charismatic, Magnetic Personality and Charming are just a couple of the many words used to describe him. His passions were to be among friends and family, or going to live concerts. Leif enjoyed attending his favorite football team's games, the LSU Tigers at Tiger Stadium. But most of all he LOVED SPENDING TIME WITH HIS BOYS...HIS SONS. Leif is survived by his sons, Hayden Pierce Rayburn, Bryson Alexander "Xander" Rayburn; his brothers Walter Lee Rayburn and Ronnie Brent Rayburn; one sister, Lisa Delane Rayburn McCoy, along with many other extended family members and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Love Lee Rayburn and Frances Joan Andrews Rayburn, and his brother Tommy Ray Rayburn. At his time, the Rayburn family will notify everyone when we hold Leif’s celebration of life. In the meantime, we will miss him, his joy, laughter, humor, kindness, advice, fiery disposition, and love. We were blessed to have him in our lives.
