Megan "MaeMae" Elizabeth Eley, a simple yet loving soul, left this earth well before she or anyone else was ready, at the young age of 31, surrounded by her loving family, on July 12, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. MaeMae was born on January 07, 1992, in Gulfport, to her parents, Randall and Sharon (Dedeaux) Pearcey. From the time she was little, MaeMae loved being outdoors, much like her little Toot does now; like mother, like daughter. Megan embraced life, and she lived it to the fullest every single day. Despite the pain and struggles she faced every day while giving cancer its biggest fight, Megan never gave up, she pushed and fought for just a little more time, with Jeff and Toot. The very best wife to Jeff, they spent thirteen years together and six of those years raising their sweet Amelia. It was at a Stone High Football game, that MaeMae met her forever hunting buddy, best friend, and soul mate, Jeff Eley, after asking him to help her open a can of Copenhagen. Never a crossword between them, Jeff and Mae, shared a special type of love, a smooth effortless love that she fought for every day until her last breath. Whether it was late-night porch talks, buggy rides, dancing, or karaoke, you better believe MaeMae was having a good time! She never met a stranger, with her contagious smile and laugh that could light up any room. Every year, MaeMae looked forward to the Beesley Barn Bash, and never ever did she miss out on Lucille's cornbread, hot out of the oven, her slice came first, and PawPaw would deliver it fresh!! MaeMae was the definition of living life to the fullest, something Jeff and Toot will continue to do in her honor. Megan is preceded in death by her daddy, Randall Pearcey, who we are sure, embraced her healed and healthy body the moment she entered the gates of heaven; her paternal grandparents; Philip and Mary Pearcey; maternal grandparents, Evelyn Bonvillain and Beuford Dedeaux; and her Aunt Debbie Vierling. Left to cherish every memory they were forever blessed with, her loving husband of eight years, Jeff Eley of McHenry, MS; one daughter Amelia "TooT" Eley; her mother Sharon Pearcey of Saucier, MS; one brother, Randy Pearcey of Saucier, MS; her In-laws, Lynn and Lucy Eley of McHenry, MS; one sister-in-law, Brandi (Chris) Cobb of McHenry, MS; nieces, TayTay Cobb and Kaycen Pearcey; her nephews; Tyler, Tubby, and Tyce Cobb, and Kooper Pearcey; best friend and sisters, Heather "Hedy-Sue" Pearcey and Stephanie "NeNe" Robbins; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, extended family and a whole slew of friends, whom she loved very much. Services for MaeMae will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Faithview Baptist Church in Saucier, beginning with a visitation at 3:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a benevolence fund has been set up with The Bank of Wiggins, in her name, Megan Eley, where you can donate in honor of her. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Eley family during this difficult time and asks that you continue to remember Jeff and Toot in your thoughts and prayers over the difficult days ahead.
