In Loving Memory of Maxie D. Evans IV
Maxie Doyal Evans IV, lovingly known as Max, was born on April 6, 1977, in Savannah, Georgia, and was a longtime resident of Montgomery, Alabama. He passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, Maxie Doyal Evans III and Carolina Susan Delaney.
He is survived by his beloved children, Parris Hampton (Jeff), Austin Evans (Taya), and Andrew Gabriel; and their mother Jamie Hampton. Max was a proud Papaw to his grandchildren, Cole Pavon and Alayia Evans. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Bond (Donald); his nephews Jeremy Evans-Porter, Jacob Yamazato, Joshua Porter, and his niece Chloe Porter, along with his cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Max spent much of his childhood in the New Orleans area. In his later years, he made his home in Montgomery, Alabama, where he spent much time with his companion, Jorgette Carroll.
Max worked in the automotive industry as a Metal CNC Operator as part of a production team. A true craftsman, he displayed ingenuity and artistry in his carpentry work. He was also a truck/ automotive enthusiast.
Gone too soon, Max will be especially remembered for his wit, charming personality and contagious laugh.
Max will be missed beyond words.
