Mary Edna (Moorehead) Wilkerson

Mary Edna (Weaver) Moorehead Wilkerson passed away peacefully in her home on September 25, 2023, at the age of 84. Born in Alabama on October 4, 1938, Mary lived a life that was marked by deep faith and boundless love. Mary worked at Oak Grove Schools, where she was respected and admired by her colleagues. She was a proud homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home. Her love for her family and neighbors was evident in the care and attention she invested. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. At the heart of all Mary's actions was her deep faith. She was a woman of unwavering belief, her actions always guided by her love for her Heavenly Father. Her faith was a beacon that guided her throughout her life, providing her with strength and comfort in times of adversity. Her spirit and her love will live on in the hearts of those she left behind. Mary is proceeded by her parents Claude and Mary Weaver; husband of 56 years Wilson Gerald Wilkerson, her first husband of 10 years Bera Henson Moorehead; brothers Claude, Jack, and James Weaver; Son in law Lenny Reid and grandson Clint Reid. Left to cherish her memories are her son Doug (Barbara) Moorehead; daughter Sandra Reid; Grandson Chris (Christy) Moorehead; granddaughter Kaci (Justin) Martin; great grandsons Price and Wyatt Moorehead; great granddaughters Paisley and Brexley Martin; brother Bryant (Darlene) Weaver; sister-in-law’s Betty Wilkerson, Rachel Wilkerson, and Elizabeth Gorey along with numerous nieces and nephews.  Pall bears: Chris Moorehead, Price Moorehead, Wyatt Moorehead, Justin Martin, Sam Bennett, Chancey Stewart, and Jonathan Lowery.
