Martha Lynn Sanders

Martha Lynn Sanders, 36, of Prentiss, MS., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 12, 2021.  She was born March 1, 1985 to Johnny and Martha (Creel) Sanders in Hattiesburg, MS.  Martha grew up in Purvis, MS., the second of three children, and would almost always be found her at "Granny's house" playing with her cousins.  Martha loved basketball.  She was an all around athlete and enjoyed playing basketball at her school. Martha's personality was infectious, very outgoing, with a heart of gold.  She would grow up fast marrying at the age of fifteen and becoming a mom at sixteen.  Finally settling in Prentiss, MS., she would call it home and grow her family there.  Martha was not scared of work and would often outwork most men! Aunt Ann was her buddy, Martha enjoyed getting all dolled up and hitting the town for dinner with Ann.  She loved going to New Orleans and to the casinos where she enjoyed playing the slots. Martha left this world sooner than anyone was ready for and she will be deeply missed by those who loved and cared for her.  Those left here to cherish her memory are her parents Johnny Sanders of Columbia, MS.  and Martha (Creel) Sanders of Lumberton, MS.; her sister Meredith Price of Columbia, MS.; her brother Johnny Lee Sanders of Richton, MS.; her four beautiful children Davis Allan Hernandez of Prentiss, MS., Reese Cervantes of Purvis, MS., Jose Lopez of Ellisville, MS., and Shannon Hernandez of Picayune, MS.  Martha's services will be Friday September 17, 2021 at Trinity Funeral Services in Lumberton, MS,  beginning with a visitation at 1:30 pm and a service to follow at 3:30 pm.  She will be interred at Pleasant Home Cemetery following the services conducted by Rev. Herbert Wiggers.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Sanders family during this difficult time and would ask that you remember Ms. Martha, her children, and the rest of her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers in the days to come.
