Poplarville

Marianne L Stewart, 76, of Poplarville, MS., passed away on June 06, 2025, in the comfort of her home. Marianne was born on September 06, 1948, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to her parents, Newell and Edith (Carthy) Braden. Marianne was a free spirit who loved fiercely. She grew up with a very talented artist, earning a scholarship at The Art Institute in Chicago, IL., where she attended art school. Her specialty being portraits and animals. She was a lifelong entrepreneur, and with a degree in business, she ran and managed several successful businesses. She had a love for French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, and Arabian Horses that she bred and trained. She was an amazing horse trainer and always advocated for the Arabian horse breed. She enjoyed attending church and considered herself to be of the Baptist religion. Marianne was a super loving mother who valued her kids and her family. There was never a doubt that she was always there for her family and cherished the time spent with them. Marianne battled sickness for quite a while, but her family is relieved that her spirit has been freed and that her body is healed and no longer suffering. Her legacy of being a go-getter and working for yourself, expanding your dreams rather than an employer, will live on in the hearts and souls of her children. Marianne is preceded in death by her parents, Newell and Edith Braden, and one grandson, Joshua Morris. Left to cherish her memory, her three children, Angela (Ray Hutcheson) Finney, Shelly Lewis, and Steve Stewart; five grandchildren, Joseph Sosnowski, Stephon Lewis, and Brianne, Isabella, and Bryant Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Penelope and Adalina Sosnowski; and two sisters, Carol Braden and Zoe Hall. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Stewart family and would ask that you remember them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
