Margie Nell (Fugler) Dunaway

Margie Nell (Fugler) Dunaway, 84, of Brookhaven, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 20, 1940, in Lincoln County, Mississippi, to Brock Maxi Fugler and Fannie Castilaw Fugler. Margie was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend. She lived a life of faith, compassion, and service, most notably as a Sunday School teacher at Harmony Baptist Church, where she shared her love of the Lord with countless individuals. Margie found joy in the simple blessings of life, but her greatest joy was always her family. She was married to the love of her life, Terry Jones Dunaway, for an incredible 67 years. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Margie’s nurturing spirit and gentle heart touched all who knew her. She was a true homemaker, and her home was a place of warmth and care for her family. For the last six years, Margie was a resident of the Jefferson Davis Extended Care Facility, where she was lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff who became like family to her. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Brock and Fannie Fugler; her brother, Ollian Fugler; and one grandson, Stephen Brock Boyt.  Left to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Terry Jones Dunaway; her daughter, Terri Lynn Boyt; her grandchildren, Marley and Taylor Boyt; her nieces and nephews, Stella Applewhite and Kenny Dunaway as well as a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Margie’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
