Marc Allen Douroux

Marc Allen Douroux, 69, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away Friday, December 17th at his residence in Picayune, Mississippi.  He was the youngest of three boys to Joseph and Virgie Douroux, born November 3, 1952 in New Orleans.  Marc grew up in the heart of The Big Easy, a typical boy who found himself in and out of trouble quite often.  Although he didn't get involved in any sports, his time was filled with endless hours on the water fishing and shrimping.  After finishing his 9th grade year of high school, Marc decided to dive headfirst into the construction industry.  He perfected his carpentry skills by not only shadowing professional local carpenters, but also by learning the necessary skills involved to become a successful carpenter.  Along with carpentry, he often finished his days working on shrimp boats.  As Marc got older, his passion quickly turned to Harley-Davidson motorcycles.  Most days you could find him riding country roads hours upon hours.  He was known to all as a very outgoing, hardworking man who loved being outdoors surrounded by his family, friends, and grandkids.  He stayed busy working tirelessly outdoors until his diagnosis left him unable to do so from then on.  Marc absolutely adored his family and will be forever missed by all whose life he touched.  He was preceded by his parents, Joseph and Virgie Douroux.  Left to cherish his memories are:  his two older brothers, Armand and Elmore (Uncle Moe), his two sons, Marc and Shawn Douroux of Picayune, his only daughter, Tonya Douroux of Saucier, MS.  Marc leaves a legacy of two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, along with many extended family and friends.  His final wishes were to be cremated which his family is honoring.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Douroux family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers especially during this holiday season.
