Madie Lee Jackson, 95, passed away peacefully in her home, October 31, 2021. Madie was born in Poplarville, Mississippi on February 5, 1926, to the late James and Artimaise Lee. She was raised in a log cabin built by her father in Poplarville, off Gum Pond Rd. Madie had a very modest life growing up with her parents. She grew up farming, crabbing, and fishing with and made sure to do the same with her family. She was a wonderful and caring mom that thoroughly enjoyed cooking, watching Wheel of Fortune, and word puzzles. Madie once saved a fishing trip with her family when all the bait was lost, she used hot dogs and by surprise they were very successful! Mrs. Jackson loved her family dearly and made many wonderful memories to last forever. The family of Madie would also like to give a special thanks to Solace Hospice, for their loving and caring efforts. Mrs. Jackson is survived by two sisters, four brothers, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Madie is Preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and family dog Budd. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport, MS on Friday November 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Jackson and Varnado family during this difficult time and would ask that you would leave them in your prayers in the days to come.
