Loren Dewayne Sullivan Sr., known to many as “Snake,” passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 6, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was born on February 4, 1958, in Gulfport, and remained closely connected to the place he called home throughout his life.
Loren was a man with a big presence. He was funny and loud, and he brought energy with him wherever he went. He drove trucks for most of his life working mostly for Southern Lawn Excavations and truck driving was something he truly loved. That work was an important part of his life and reflected his strong spirit and determination.
Outside of work, Loren enjoyed the things that brought him peace and excitement. He loved deer hunting and fishing, and he especially treasured spending time hanging around family and friends. He also loved to race cars on the dirt track, a passion that matched his bold and lively nature. Among the things he was proudest of were the family and friends he had and making it through life with them in spite of life’s challenges.
He is survived by his son, Loren Sullivan Jr.; his sister, Wanda Gale; his nephew David and Shawn Bosarge; his niece Angela Bosarge Andrews; his grandchildren, Angel Sullivan, Jeffrey Sullivan, Hannah Bosarge, Tenley Bosarge, Aurora Sullivan, Georgia Sullivan, Arrick Lenig, and Lawson Sullivan; and his close friends, Braden Stanley and Parker Bourque. Each of them shared in his life in a special way, and his memory will remain with them in the days ahead.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Sullivan; his mother, Eula Sullivan; his daughter, Jennifer Sullivan; his sisters, Darlene Pale and Ginger Parone; and his brother, Stanely Sullivan.
Loren will be remembered for his strong personality, his love for the open road, and the joy he found in family, friends, and the outdoors. His life leaves lasting memories for those who knew him and loved him.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Sullivan family in their time of need and we ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
