Mr. Loren Elmer Barton, Jr., 57 of Biloxi, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Latimer. Loren was born April 12, 1961 in Biloxi, the youngest of 3 children to Loren Elmer and Freida Annliese (Maisch) Barton, Sr. He grew up in the Latimer community, and was a typical coastal South MS boy. He enjoyed the outdoors, but especially loved boats and being on the water. After school, Loren became a boat captain, and has travelled all over in his career. Recently he had worked at Tri-County Eye Clinic for the past several years. Loren was the "simple life" kind of guy, a man who paid attention to detail and loved his dogs. He is remembered as a "great guy" by those closest to him. He had recently joined Tuxechena Baptist Church, after his baptism in Red Creek on Wednesday, Oct. 17th. He will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Loren was preceded by his parents, Loren E. and Freida Barton, Sr., and a sister, Darlene Edwards. Left to cherish his memories are: his girlfriend, Eileen Stevenson of Latimer; his brother, Scott (Danielle) Barton of Gulfport; his rescued four-pawed kids, "Bo" and "Jangles", along with extended family and friends. A graveside service is set for Saturday morning, October 27th at 10:00 AM, in the Tuxechena Baptist Church Cemetery in Perkinston. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Barton family in their time of need, and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
