Mr. Linon Charles Taylor

December 9, 1953 — January 23, 2017

Mr. Linon Charles Taylor, 63 of Wiggins, passed away Monday, January 23rd at his residence. Charles was born December 9, 1953 in Wiggins to L.C. and Leanna Taylor, but grew up however, on the West side of Chicago, where his mother's family is from. As a young man, he enjoyed sports and all the things young boys do. He played basketball, and his friends began to refer to him as "Cowboy", because of the way he walked. That name stuck with him all throughout life. In 1987, his father L.C. passed away, and in 1988, the family moved to Stone county. He took his father's admonition to heart, taking care of his mother until he passed. Cowboy will be remembered as a kind and loving son, who had a big heart for those in need, and will be sadly missed by all who's life he touched. He is survived by his loving mother, Leanna Mae Taylor, his only sister, Avanell Nelson; his wife, Marcia Johnson Taylor; and nieces Keisha and Monique Nelson, all of Wiggins; his maternal grandmother, Carrie Lewis, uncles Thomas, Charles, and Otis Robertson, and aunts Gloria and Wilhemina Robertson, all of Chicago, IL; another uncle, Fate Robertson of Jackson, MS; an aunt, Justina Evans (Howard) of Moss Point, along with a host of friends who knew and loved him. Cowboy was preceded in death by his father, L.C. Taylor; his grandfather, Jessie Winston; a nephew, Sheldon Nelson; brother-in-law Leo Nelson; and his aunt, Delina Robertson. Funeral services are set for Saturday, January 28, 2017, beginning with a visitation at 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM, all held at Trinity's McHenry chapel. Trinity Funeral Service is honored to serve the Taylor family in their time of need, and asks that you keep them in your hearts and prayers during this difficult time.
