Linda Sue Pruitt, age 74, passed away on February 19, 2024 in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born in Springfield, Missouri on July 8, 1949 to the late Wade and Gertrude Short. Linda's life was a testament to her warmth, kindness, and free-spirited nature. Linda was a beacon of friendliness with a unique ability to forge friendships with anyone she encountered. Linda’s heart was as vast as the sky radiating boundless love and kindness. A true romantic at heart, Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a profound appreciation for music, finding solace and inspiration in its melodies. Her timeless elegance was reflected in her old-school fashion sense, always leaving home looking impeccable and radiant. Linda's love for beauty extended to her passion for hair and makeup, where she expressed her creativity and individuality. Her dedication to her appearance mirrored her commitment to living life to the fullest, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and joy. One of Linda's most admirable traits was her remarkable adaptability. No matter the circumstances, she faced life with grace and resilience, navigating through challenges with resolute strength. Her unwavering spirit served as a guiding light for those around her. Spirituality was a cornerstone of Linda's life, guiding her on a journey of self-discovery and inner peace. Her free-spirited nature allowed her to embrace life's mysteries with open arms, finding beauty in the world around her. Above all, Linda Sue Pruitt was a cherished mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, loving companion, and a bright light in the lives of many. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her presence. Linda is preceded by her loving parents, Wade Short and Trudy (John) Sullivan; daughter, Lisa Jean Price-Santucci, four brothers and one sister. Linda is survived by her loving children, Valerie McWilliams and Eric Grocott; grandchildren, Jacob (Adriana) Porter, Christopher (Jessica) Lee Byrd, Shawna (T.J.) Gueho, Don Cantrell, Sunny Cantrell, A.J. Cronin, Christina Cronin, and several great grandchildren.
