Linda Gail Williams passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024, at her home in Gulfport. Born on November 17, 1953, in the same town to the late Russell and Alice (Tynes) Peterman. Growing up in the Lyman Community, Linda found joy in the simple pleasure’s life offered, finding excitement of a nearby casino or enjoying the sunshine while fishing along the banks. She had an appreciation for the classic tales of the Wild West, burning up her collection of Westerns and episodes of Little House on the Prairie on VHS. Her gumbo and yeast rolls were crowd favorites, and if she wanted to, she could write a book, "101 Ways to Cook Catfish.” Not only was Linda smart and savvy, but her generosity knew no bounds. With a heart of pure gold, she embraced and nurtured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was as sweet as pie but could be just as feisty, when needed. Linda's unforgettable laugh will be forever remembered and missed. Linda is preceded by her parents, Russell Peterman and Alice Tynes. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of over 50 years, John Williams; children, Joe (Teresa) Williams, Tony (Dyan) Williams, and Jennifer Williams; siblings, David Peterman, Gary Peterman, Kenny (Kim) Peterman, Johnny Peterman, and Cindy (Ray) Spiers; grandbabies, James Roberts, John Williams, Jacob Williams, Jessica Conner, Michael Cooper, Matthew Williams; great grandbabies, Arabella Roberts Lakelyn Roberts, Lindy Conner, Weston Conner.
