Linda J. Farley, a vibrant spirit born on January 9, 1951, in Columbus, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Linda's life was woven from the fabric of her strong dedication to family and friends, a commitment that defined her existence and enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her life, Linda embraced the role of a devoted mother and grandmother, pouring her love and energy into raising her children. Her son, Wade Farley, and daughter, Jamie Brown, were the lights of her life. She took immense pride in spoiling her great-granddaughter, Lily, ensuring that every moment spent together was filled with joy and laughter. Linda relished the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sharing stories, enjoying family camping trips, or boating on the Biloxi River, where the family enjoyed sun-soaked days and cherished memories, even catching the school bus directly from the boat. Her lively personality shone bright as she connected effortlessly with those around her, making friends wherever she went, particularly during her later years when she bartended.

Linda’s passions extended beyond family. She found joy in her beloved New Orleans Saints, cheering them on with a fervent spirit. Gardening was another love, as she relished the time spent nurturing her plants and creating a beautiful sanctuary at home. Known for her outgoing nature and delightful candor, Linda was a true spitfire; you would never have to question her thoughts or feelings.

Surrounded by loving family, Linda is survived by her son Wade and his wife Debra, her daughter Jamie, and her cherished grandchildren—Jackie, Chloe, and Caleb. She leaves behind precious memories with her great-granddaughter, Lily, along with her loyal companion, her dog Max. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her brothers, sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family, each of whom carries a piece of her vibrant legacy.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her sister, Diane Tarver. As we reflect on Linda's life, we celebrate the joy she brought into the world and the unwavering love she cultivated within her family.
