Linda L. Bedwell, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, at the age of 75 in Sumrall, MS. Born on January 14, 1949, in West Liberty, Ohio, to Frank and Anna Dick, Linda grew up with a vibrant spirit and a nurturing heart that she carried throughout her life. Gifted with a generous and loving essence, Linda dedicated her early career to managing a retail store, where she cultivated a sense of community and service. However, it was her role as a homemaker that truly defined her years, as she lovingly raised her two daughters, Cheri Neal and Cathie Bounds, instilling in them values of strength, kindness, and devotion. Linda's passion for life did not stop at her doorstep; her enjoyment of the great outdoors was evident to all who knew her. An avid reader of the Bible, she also found serenity in the beauty of nature while fishing and hunting. Not to mention, her green thumb beautified her surroundings with an array of flowers, indicative of her love for growth and life. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Dick; her brothers Harley, Billy, and Jeff Dick; her sister Judy Burus; and her son she always wanted, Jr. Bounds. She is survived by daughters Cheri(Billy) Neal of Purvis and Cathie Bounds of Sumrall; grandchildren Nicole(Adam) Neal, Frankie(Shelby) Neal, Joshua(Andrew) Vanderwoodsen, Brittany(Robbie) Pettit, Tony(Amber) Bounds, Walter(Sha) Brothers, Hanna(Sean) Chisolm, and great grand children Matthew, Payton, Layken, Chloe, Brooklyn, Bailee, Hunter, Chase, Wyatt, and Chance. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bedwell family in their time of need and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
